Wrapping up 2025

Every year feels busy at Avon Cobblestone, but 2025 seems to have flown by faster than usual. As we wrap up the final site checks and edge closer to the new year, we’ve taken a moment to pause and look back. What we found was a year packed with projects, community moments, and the kind of reminders that make us genuinely love what we do.

Our place in the community

Staying rooted in our community has always mattered to us. It keeps us grounded in the place we call home – and connected to the people who shape it. One of our proudest moments this year came when Joe and Steve were made honorary members of Old Down Cricket Club after supporting the club for many years. 

Local sport brought us together in other ways too, as we continued our support for Thornbury Golf Club by sponsoring the club. It’s been a much-loved space for us, and this gesture keeps us involved in a place that many of our customers and friends enjoy spending their spare time. No hole-in-ones from us yet this year, but we like to think we are getting closer…

We also celebrated our seventh consecutive year sponsoring Olveston United AFC. The partnership has grown into something that goes beyond logos on shirts. Grassroots football is the beating heart of many communities, and we know the families, players, and volunteers who make the club what it is. We’re really proud to support a club that gives so much back to our local area. 

Supporting local causes

Our connection to the community is not just through local teams and clubs. Charitable work has always held a special place in the business, and that was especially true this year. The Charlie Froud Foundation is a cause incredibly close to our hearts; Steve, one of our directors, has been a trustee of the charity for many years. In 2025, we sponsored their annual charity golf day by covering the cost of player trophies – a small gesture, but one that helps celebrate the people who show up year after year for a cause that means so much.

Together with the community, we’ve helped raise thousands for the Foundation over the years. None of it would be possible without the generosity of the people around us. We’re grateful to be a small part of something that continues to make a real difference.

A year of proud installations

It would be wrong not to acknowledge how our team’s hard work has helped shape 2025. We completed a wide range of projects across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Some were large-scale home transformations, others were smaller jobs that meant just as much to the people living there.

We installed driveways that breathed new life into older properties. We built patios that became the heart of family gardens. We worked on modern homes where clean lines and practical design were key. We restored tired spaces and created fresh ones. Each project brought its own challenges and its own rewards.

The moments that stay with us are the simple ones. A homeowner stepping outside and smiling at the progress, or stopping for a chat over a quick tea or coffee. Those small encounters stay with us long after the concrete has set.

What stood out this year

Looking back on 2025, our biggest marker of success is the trust we’ve earned from our customers and our community.

The relationships we have built this year are the reason we show up early, work hard, and take real pride in the details. They are the reason we care as much about the community as we do about our craft.

Looking ahead to 2026

As we step into a new year, our focus stays the same. We’ll keep supporting the clubs and causes that strengthen our community. We’ll keep giving our all to every driveway, patio and pathway we build. Most of all, we’ll keep showing up for the people who show up for us.
