Wrapping Up 2023

As the year draws to a close, we are reflecting on what 2023 has meant to all of us at Avon Cobblestone. We have had a fantastic year of working with our wonderful customers, supporting local projects and sports clubs, and raising money for a range of causes. Read on to find out what Team Cobblestone has been up to in 2023.  

Installations

This year, we completed over 200 installations across Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.

We feel particularly privileged to have been part of a project for National Star; a charity which specialises in further education, training, personal development and residential services for people with physical and learning disabilities. 

In June, we installed a new imprinted concrete pathway in their sensory garden, creating a textured floor for students to experience. The space looks fantastic and we were delighted to be part of this project.

Supporting our Community

Olveston United AFC

For the 5th year running, we have been the main sponsor for Olveston United AFC. Formed in 1926, the club is a huge part of our community – and our lives! Several members of our team play for the club so we’re incredibly proud to sponsor our local FC. #UpTheOs
 

Old Down Cricket Club

We continued to sponsor Old Down Cricket Club for a 2nd year and, in addition, this year we also installed a new patio at the club and donated picnic benches and umbrellas to complete the space. The outdoor area has been completely transformed and we look forward to enjoying the space along with other supporters over the coming years. 

The Moonlight Challenge

In November, Steve, Kate, Joe and family undertook The Moonlight Challenge to raise money for Wicklow Mountain Rescue. Guided by a full moon, our team walked an incredible 27 km through the Wicklow Mountains on a chilly night, starting at 3pm and finishing at 10pm. 

They raised over £3,800 for this fantastic cause and despite some aches and pains after their impressive feat, managed to celebrate in the pub afterwards! 

Company Mascots

Our company mascots, Buster and Stanley, have, once again, been very good boys this year. They are always on hand to keep our team smiling come rain or shine!
